Sean's page
Welcome to Sean's special page. On Thursday 12th October 2006 we had an Open Afternoon at Weeton School. Throughout the afternoon each class took part in "Sing for Sean" - to raise money to buy art and craft materials for Sean and the other children who are being treated in Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool.
Click here for more about our Open Afternoon.
After school on Monday 16th October, Sean made a surprise visit to school, along with his friends Jason and Jake. They had told Sean that Mr Horrocks had been out shopping over the weekend and had bought lots of brilliant things.
They brought a great smile to Sean's face....
This looks good...
You can read some messages from Sean in our Guestbook.
2nd November 2006
Sean brought a surprise visitor to school today! His friend, Jamie (who used to come to Weeton School), had flown over to see him from Northern Ireland...
Then this very friendly cat appeared to say "Hello"...
Just purrfect!

Have you seen the messages in the Guestbook from your Nanny and your old friend Lewis Thompson?
After buying Andrew's laptop, we should have about £1000 to spend on art and craft materials for your hospital. Amazing, isn't it!

We've just received these super pictures of Sean, taken during his recent trip in a helicopter.
Here's the helicopter...

Remembering Sean
Sean sadly passed away during the summer holidays 2007
At 11am on 18th September 2007, our school family held a service to remember the happy times we spent with Sean at Weeton School. In memory of Sean, we then launched a special award in his name: Sean's Award. Then, as the sun shone, we released balloons into the sky, as a symbol of Sean's release from pain.
Sean's Award will be presented to any child in our school, at any time during the year, who shows the same persevering and happy spirit as Sean did during his last year as a member of our school family.
There are 5 pdf links at the foot of this page:
