Our New Garden

Spring 2006

This was once an area of grass - just perfect

for our new garden, designed by us!

Beyond the fence, the path will lead to six

raised beds (one for each class)...

There will be pathways between each bed;

the central one will be wide enough

for wheelchair access.

We are going to have a shed on the left hand side

of this picture, for all our gardening tools.

Summer 2006

Over the weeks, the men from the Community Team

worked hard.  The raised beds were filled with top soil and a base was laid for our new shed.

On 6th July, the shed arrived...

Doesn't it look great!

You can also see the finished paths and raised beds...

Here we are, watering some of our plants...

Here's a view from the corner of the garden...

We'll have lots of space to grow our

fruit and vegetables...

We've already planted some fruit trees - apple,

cherry, plum and pear - at the end of the garden...

Here's the shed, just waiting for our garden tools, although Mr Horrocks says he's going to escape to the shed when he's had enough of forms and paperwork!

That's all from our sunny Weeton garden.

Watch out for more pictures,

as our garden continues to grow.

Our next project will be to create a garden with

seating on this plot outside our dining hall.

Someone's going to be busy!
