Weeton Primary School is hidden away in pleasant rural surroundings on Weeton Barracks. The school caters for pupils between the ages of 4 - 11. Its location and the community we serve give our school a special character. In addition to children from Army, RAF and Royal Navy families living at Weeton and Warton or beyond, we welcome pupils from the wider community. We usually have just over 100 children on roll. |

Weeton School was inspected by Ofsted in November 2005, and was judged to be "a good school, which provides an outstanding level of care to children".
The school is bright and stimulating; it has extensive range of resources and books to support teaching and learning in all areas of the curriculum.
The school was extensively remodelled and completely redecorated during 2008. Here's our brand new entrance - now on the front of the school. We've also got new offices, library, toilets and staffroom.
We'll be adding some more new pictures shortly.
A new extension was added in autumn 2004, providing up-to-date facilities for children with special needs and room for parents' meetings. You can see The Rainbow Room and The Meeting Room in the pictures below. A new dining hall was completed in 2005.

We are also busy developing our school grounds: an "outdoor classroom" (below) has been created for our Reception children (two bright yellow canopies have been added since this picture was taken); there is also Woodland Walk and a garden for growing our own fruit and vegetables (which we cook and eat!).
The children are organised in 5 classes. All the classes receive lots of support from our high quality teaching assistants throughout the week.
