Weeton Primary School

is hidden away in pleasant rural surroundings on Weeton Barracks. The school caters for pupils between the ages of 4 - 11.  Its location and the community we serve give our school a special character.  In addition to children from Army and RAF families living at Weeton, we welcome pupils from the wider community.  We have just over 90 children on roll.

Weeton School was inspected by Ofsted in November 2008, and was judged to be "an outstanding school".

The school was extensively remodelled and completely redecorated during 2008.  Here's our new entrance - now on the front of the school.  We've also got new offices, library, toilets and staffroom.

A William Morris display...

The school is bright and stimulating; it has extensive range of resources and books to support teaching and learning in all areas of the curriculum.

A new extension was added in autumn 2004, providing up-to-date facilities for children with special needs and room for parents' meetings.  You can see The Meeting Room in the picture below.  A new dining hall was completed in 2005.

And this is The Rainbow Room...

We have been busy developing our school grounds: an "outdoor classroom"  has been created for our Reception and Year 1 children; there is also Woodland Walk and a garden for growing our own fruit and vegetables (which we cook and eat!).

The children are organised in 5 classes. All the classes receive lots of support from our high quality teaching assistants throughout the week.
