Congratulations on your ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report. The whole ‘school family’ should take great pride in this fantastic achievement. When I spoke to Mr Onyon, he was particularly impressed with how polite, hard working and well behaved the children he met were and with the warm welcome he received from them. The inspection and report confirmed the opinion of my fellow governors and I, that the dedication and professionalism of the whole team at Weeton produce an outstanding level of care and education. I hope you all enjoy ‘celebrating’ your well deserved success.

Regards,
Mr Tristan Bushell
Chair of Governors

REPLY: Many thanks for all your support - along with the rest of the governors - and all the time you have given to Weeton School since you joined our Governing Body. We really do appreciate it. The children were excited to learn on Friday that we are planning to celebrate by taking the whole school to Blackpool Zoo for a day in January!
Best wishes, Mr Horrocks

Hi everyone, I really miss you all. Guess what, I've moved up in all of my sciences which are Biology, Chemistry and Physics! I'm really excited !! Have you decided what the Christamas production will be yet? Are you going to put pictures on the webpage because it would be cool to see who has the main part! Got to go now.
Love Abigail (former pupil)

REPLY: Well done on the sciences, Abigail. We are going to do a Nativity this year, with all the school involved. It will be performed on our new stage, which should arrive later this month. Yes, we'll be putting some pictures on the website.
Keep smiling and working hard.

Hi everyone
How you doing? I can't stand all the homework I keep getting. It's test, after test, after test. It's tiring me out! Can you put pictures on the web of the Christmas production?
Well, got to go. Got homework.

Hey everyone, how are you? I can't wait until 11th December as I'm off to Orlando for 2 weeks and on 16th December I'm swimming with dolphins! I'm so excited. We fly back to Ireland Christmas night. Tell Mrs Lomas I am going on tour in March with school for netball. We are going to Nottingham. School is great. Got tests coming up in 2 weeks, I'm so scared. I got my report from Rockport and I got 8 A's and 7 B's. At school my worse subject is French because we are expected to learn it really quickly and we get French tests every Wednesday. Look at me babbling on, how is everyone? Mrs Lomas was the best teacher I ever had. She is awesome. Well I'm going. Bye.

_______________________________________________________

REPLY: What a lot of exciting news, Aimee. We are all very jealours of your trip to Orlando. And Mrs Lomas is delighted with the netball. All the skills you picked up at Weeton have obviously helped! Well done on your fantastic grades. Keep trying with the French! Everyone here is fine - starting to think about our Christmas production. Our school is being inspected this week - so we are in for a busy time! Wish us good luck!
With best wishes from Mr Horrocks and the amazing Mrs Lomas!

Hi everyone
Did you all have a great holiday, I sure did. You know that it is nearly Christmas. Are you doing anything special like a play? We're not. I think we're just dressing up our tree, which will probably be quite fun because I think we have to make all the decorations. In PE today we did some Indian dance moves and it kind of reminded me of when we had our special Indian day at Weeton, were we came to school dressed up in Indian clothes. The dance moves were really, really hard. I wish that I could just come there on Tuesdays and do PE with Mrs Leech. It's so relaxing when she does yoga. I wish my teacher could do yoga. Well that's all I think I have to say. Love Chloe xx

_______________________________________________________

REPLY: Thanks for all your news, Chloe. It's good to hear what you are doing when you move to a new school. We are doing a Nativity this Christmas - on our fantastic new stage! We can't wait for it to arrive! It will have blue curtains and we'll be able to set the stage out in lots of different ways, depending on the show. A lot better than those ancient stage blocks we had! Mrs Leech sends her best wishes - and is pleased you still remember the relaxing yoga.

Hello everyone at Weeton! Just had a look at the new pics. Can't believe how much the school has changed! We are enjoying Germany, settled in really well. I'm doing football and rugby at school. Leona is doing really well with her reading and maths. We have got lots of friends here but still miss our friends in Weeton. Can you say a big hello to Stevie and David in Mr Goth's class. Tell Mr Goth I still wish he was my teacher. We will keep checking the site to see if anything exciting is happening! Love Blake and Leona x

REPLY: It's good to hear from you again. We are pleased to know you have both settled in Germany and enjoying school. Miss Russel is pleased about your reading and math, Leona - keep trying hard! And Mr Goth is flattered by your comment, Blake! Along with all youir friends, Mr Goth says hello! We have recently ordered a new stage, which includes seating for the choir, ready for our Nativity. It's going to be a whole school production this year, so watch out for pictures of all your friends.

Hello to everyone at Weeton!
I was just sat here bored on the internet and thought I'd have a look at your website. I can't believe the school's turned 50 now! I still have the mug from the 40th birthday celebration, hahaa.

I was wondering if the school had any performances or shows any time soon? I'd love to come see how the school's changed and say hello :]

Anyway, I'd love to hear back from you.

Hello everyone at Weeton,
We have just seen all the photos on the site and it was lovely to see Ethan, Jack and Aidan, who I miss very much.
I have made loads of new friends and love it at my new school. Cattercik is cool, we have lots of parks to go to after school and have collected lots of conkers...
My writing is coming on a treat and will be doing my own list to Santa this year. Take care everyone. Love Frankie xxx

REPLY: Hello Frankie! It's good to hear from you. Miss Nolan and (little) Mrs Lomas are so pleased to hear you are enjoying your new school. The other week, Mr Goth's class got some conkers. They played with them as we all sang "Conkers" during Friday afternoon assembly! Glad to hear your writing is coming along well - don't make that list too long for Santa this year. Anyway, keep working hard and keep visiting the website.

Hello to my Weeton family
You know when I said I am going on my trip, well I went today. It was well COOL !! I went to Portsmouth. I went to see half of the Mary Rose which is still standing and we went on the HMS Victory. Guess what - Henry III built the Mary Rose in Portsmouth. It was the best day of my life. Are you still learning about the Romans or something else? I feel a bit more settled now. Still walking around with a smile on my face. Well I am most of the time. Enjoy your half term teachers, as well as everyone else. Write back soon. Missing you all loads.

I would just like to wish you all a happy 50th birthday . I saw the story in the Gazette last week. It was the best school Andrew has ever attended and we really miss that. Healthwise he is doing really well. He has just past the two year post diagnosis. He still picks up every bug going but he is doing really well (can you believe it has been two years - where has the time gone?).
Anyway, well done again on reaching your 50th anniversary. You have such a brilliant school. We miss you all and thank you so much for all the kind things you did for Andrew when he was there.

Hello Mr Horrocks and all of the teachers at Weeton School. I haven't been in touch for about 1 whole year. Now finally I have found the website again. I am now living in Bilsthorpe near Mansfield with my mum, Lianne, Sheriden and my really annoying brother called Joel! As you will know ,I have moved around millions of times before and we are staying in Mansfield for good now (hopefully). I'm in a high school now called Joseph Whitaker and have lots more new friends. I am really missing Weeton School and it was the best primary school I have ever been to! I think all of my friends have now moved to Northern Ireland. I have asked my dad who lives in Ireland aswell to get me all of their email-adresses so I can get in touch with them! Could you say a big hello to all of the teachers who have taught me especially Mrs Kirkham. Ask her if she remembers getting out of her car and giving my brother a present when he was a little baby! I hope I will be able to get in touch with you now. My mum will be sending a comment very soon to say hello. See you later!

_______________________________________________________

REPLY: Great to hear from you again, Mitchell. Your message has really brightened my day (I've had Ofsted on my mind a lot recently!) I'll certainly mention to Mrs Kirkham about that present for Joel. It's just the kind of thing I can see her doing - so thoughtful. She still teaches here every so often, and was here to help us celebrate the school's 50th birthday. By the way, the Braithwaite royal tree is still growing! You'll all have to come and see it - and us! - one day. In the meantime, keep working hard, and best wishes to all the family.

To Mr Horrocks and all the team
It is with GREAT regret that I am unable to attend the birthday celebration on Thursday as I am committed to work at my current school. I will be there in heart and spirit, if not physically! My ten years or more that I spent at Weeton were amongst the happiest I have ever spent in education. It was the most fantastic team to work with and I will always cherish the memories - especially the amount of laughter! It is so lovely to read the messages from past pupils and learn about all their achievements. You know that I will always keep in touch and I will try to visit as soon as possible.

Thank you for the very kind invitation to the school's 50th Birthday Celebrations. Unfortunately I shall not be able to attend but send the Staff and Pupils my best wishes and congratulations on this momentous occasion.

How time flies !!! It doesn't seem that long ago when I was Nursery Assistant/Non Teaching Assistant at the school that the 25th Birthday Celebrations took place. Since that time there have been many changes and improvements to the school buildings and school life. I frequently look at the school website to keep up to date with all the happenings and am most impressed with what I see.

Congratulations and very best wishes and here's to the next 50 years.

Hiya to everyone at Weeton. I don't know if you can still remember me but I have now started my third high school and it's great. It's a sports college just like Risedale but in this school I might be doing GCSE for PE.
Hope to speak to you all soon.

Hi everybody!
I am missing Weeton terribly:(!
Kirkham Grammar is brilliant though, except all the homework (I'm in the middle of history homework now!)
Once again i'd like to say thank to all who helped me achieve my goals. Especially Mrs Lomas, Mr Horrocks, Mrs Kay and all the rest of the team!
Thank you all so much and "HAPPY BIRRTHDAY TO YOU ALL!", I wish I was there to celebrate it with you all.

Congratulations Yanto!
Well done Yanto on receiving Sean's Award. Mr Horrocks tells me you have been a very brave boy with all of the sadness and hard times you have gone through. It must have been very hard and sad to lose your dad, but you have kept smiling. Your dad will be very proud of you. Keep up the good work at school, and once again WELL DONE!

HI Mr Horrocks & all the staff at Weeton!
Just been looking on your website (as I do often) and love the pictures of the new entrance. It looks really nice and welcoming. Great idea about the tv set! The display cabinet looks great. What a lot of awards the school has. Wouldn't like to be the one who cleans them all, ha ha! I will definitely try and get over next year to see you all. Would like to personally thank you all for your support and kindness in keeping Sean's memory alive at your school. It means so much to Keith and I. Saw Mrs Masters at our summer ball in August. She told me all about your end of year assembly and that someone has received Sean's Award. Look forward to seeing the pictures. Life in Ballykinler is okay. Ryan has settled in well here, he is doing well at school. He still has his heart set on being a doctor! Can't believe he leaves next year, how time flies. Callum is going to playschool and the new baby is due in 7 weeks so I have my hands full !! Hope you all had a relaxing summer. Best wishes to you all.
Take care
Louise

REPLY: So good to hear from you again and news of how you are all getting on. It's great news about the baby. We all send our best wishes to you. Sean's Award went to another deserving child - Yanto. His face lit up when he realised he was going to receive it. School is as busy as ever, particularly with our 50th birthday celebrations only a few weeks away. We look forward to seeing you all again some time in the future. Mrs Lomas is so impressed with Ryan's choice of career!

I miss this school so much!!
Big hello to all the teachers - especially Mr Horrocks and Mrs Lomas! Hope you are all well. Haven't been in touch for 2 years now, and I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Like Danielle, finished 2nd year of uni . Now in Newcastle, it's been incredible. I'm changing over to do my final year at uni in Madrid, so I move there in 9 days - no where near organised.

Regards to everyone in Weeton. Anyhow- I remember being computer monitor many moons ago (and Joseph and that coat of many colours........cringe!)

All the very best guys and hope you're having a marvellous summer!

REPLY: Hello Dan! Is it really two years? Time flies. Pleased to hear you've enjoyed your time at Newcastle; Madrid sounds very exciting. Hope all goes well. I'd forgotten about Joseph! No wonder you won our Arts Award in 1998! We are just about to celebrate the school's 50th birthday at the end of September. Had you not been in Madrid, you could have come along and given us a verse or two of "Any Dream Will Do"!
Keep in touch and good luck in Madrid.

To Mr Goth and Class 4, I would like to thank all the helpers for all their great help and Mr Goth you're the best teacher I could ever wish for in my whole life. I'd like to say to all my GREAT friends I'm going to miss you loads. Thank for being the best of friends. I'm going to miss being on YELLOW table.

There are only 2 remaining teachers at Weeton County Primary School, as it was known then, that I recognise. Mr Horrocks, who once played King Herod in the nativity whilst I was one of the three wise men, and Mrs Kirkham!

A great school, one that I miss massively!

I would be most grateful if somebody has an e-mail address I could contact Mrs Duckworth, circa 1996, on.

_______________________________________________________

REPLY: It's really good to hear from you, Dale, after all this time. We've just had a new trophy cabinet made and the Good Citizen Award with your name engraved on it (1997 winner) is displayed in all its glory! I certainly remember that nativity! We've got some photos of it in one of our albums, plus a good one of you when you won the Good Citizen Award along with Kayley Cracknell and Danielle Hill. Mrs Kirkham actually retired a few years ago, but she can't keep away and continues to work part-time for us. Mrs Duckworth left us in 2005, when she became Deputy Head of a larger school in Chorley. I'll pass on contact details to you.
If you are ever in this area, do call in and see us.
Best wishes, Mr Horrocks

Hi! Just thought I'd tell you about how I am already missing the school! I am missing being with Kalei ( I hope I spelt that right), Shauna, Natasha, Nathan and Macauley (and anyone else I forgot - sorry!) But I especially miss BIG Mrs Lomas, Mrs Speriatt, Mrs Dudding+baby, Mrs Birkett, Mrs Ramsey, Mr Horrocks, Mrs Kay and all the rest of the teachers who helped me through primary school life at Weeton. I hope that the new Year 5s have fun and good luck to the new Year 6s for the SATs ahead (if they do them).

I am looking forward to going to Kirkham Grammar School. My first day is September 2nd (wish me luck please). Once again, thanks to all the teachers and pupils that helped my through the time I spent at and away from Weeton!

Hope the new school year goes well, and the new Class 1 children have as good a time as I had at Weeton (read through the Best Efforts books!). Hope to hear from Class 6 soon.

PS Can someone tell Louise Dack in the new Class 4 that I said Hi! Thank you!

THE CREATION OF THE TEACHER
Author Unknown

The Good Lord was creating teachers. It was His sixth day of 'overtime' and He knew that this was a tremendous responsibility for teachers would touch the lives of so many impressionable young children. An angel appeared to Him and said, "You are taking a long time to figure this one out."

"Yes," said the Lord, " but have you read the specs on this order?"

TEACHER:

…must stand above all students, yet be on their level
... must be able to do 180 things not connected with the subject being taught
... must run on coffee and leftovers,
... must communicate vital knowledge to all students daily and be right most of the time
... must have more time for others than for herself/himself
... must have a smile that can endure through pay cuts, problematic children, and worried parents
... must go on teaching when parents question every move and others are not supportive
... must have 6 pair of hands.

"Six pair of hands, " said the angel, "that's impossible"
"Well, " said the Lord, " it is not the hands that are the problem. It is the three pairs of eyes that are presenting the most difficulty!"

The angel looked incredulous, " Three pairs of eyes...on a standard model?"

The Lord nodded His head, " One pair can see a student for what he is and not what others have labelled him as. Another pair of eyes is in the back of the teacher's head to see what should not be seen, but what must be known. The eyes in the front are only to look at the child as he/she 'acts out' in order to reflect, " I understand and I still believe in you", without so much as saying a word to the child."

"Lord, " said the angel, " this is a very large project and I think you should work on it tomorrow".

"I can't," said the Lord, "for I have come very close to creating something much like Myself. I have one that comes to work when he/she is sick.....teaches a class of children that do not want to learn....has a special place in his/her heart for children who are not his/her own.....understands the struggles of those who have difficulty....never takes the students for granted..."

The angel looked closely at the model the Lord was creating.
"It is too soft-hearted," said the angel.

"Yes," said the Lord, "but also tough, You can not imagine what this teacher can endure or do, if necessary".

"Can this teacher think?" asked the angel.

"Not only think," said the Lord,. "but reason and compromise."

The angel came closer to have a better look at the model and ran his finger over the teacher's cheek.

"Well, Lord, " said the angel, your job looks fine but there is a leak. I told you that you were putting too much into this model. You cannot imagine the stress that will be placed upon the teacher."

The Lord moved in closer and lifted the drop of moisture from the teacher's cheek. It shone and glistened in the light.

"It is not a leak," He said, "It is a tear."

"A tear? What is that?" asked the angel, "What is a tear for?"

The Lord replied with great thought, " It is for the joy and pride of seeing a child accomplish even the smallest task. It is for the loneliness of children who have a hard time to fit in and it is for compassion for the feelings of their parents. It comes from the pain of not being able to reach some children and the disappointment those children feel in themselves. It comes often when a teacher has been with a class for a year and must say good-bye to those students and get ready to welcome a new class."

"My, " said the angel, " The tear thing is a great idea...You are a genius!!"
The Lord looked sombre, "I didn't put it there."

This for all the Teachers and Staff at Weeton!!

Hello Mr Horrocks and all the rest. I've settled well over in Ireland.
It is really good over here but I miss my friends a lot and the teachers at Weeton. Prince Edward is over in Northern Ireland and our school Kindle Primary is going to do a play in front of him. Hi to you all, thought it was time I dropped you all a line. It has been over 6 moths since we left Weeton to go to Chepstow! It's been a very busy time for us here. The Battalion have just returned from Belize and are now training ready for a 6 moth tour to Afghanistan in September. We have a great house in a lovely location with wonderful views of the river and bridge. Katie and Clara have settled down into their new school after a few 'teething' problems and seem to be enjoying it. Katie has been accepted into an excellent secondary school so I hope she will do well. Olivia has made friends and works every weekend with her sister, Laura, in a local pub waitressing. I am assistant manager & pre-school room leader in a local preschool. I also implement communication, language & literacy across the school so I'm learning lots!
We all miss the close community of Weeton school and Katie especially misses Mrs Lomas! I miss my 'chats' with Mrs Kay but she will be pleased to know I've yet to forget a lunchbox! When we visit our house we will pop in to see you all. Take care x

Hiya everyone. I'm going into Year 10 in September. I can't wait until 23rd June because I'm doing my first GCSE's for science at 9:00. Hope everyone is ok, I am. I'm coming back up on 30th of this month. Hopefully going to pop into the school and see evceryone again. So how are all the Year 6's doing in their SAT's? Hope they do just as well as me and Melissa did and everyone else.
Please can you say a big hi to Mrs Lomas because I miss like mad, I think of her helping me out with my SATs when I'm doing my coursework and when I do my science SATs.
Well, I have to go. I'll keep in contact.

Hiya Mr Horrocks and Mrs Lomas. I'm in Yr 9 this September. I've missed everyone at the school. I should be coming to see you this month if I can get into the camp.
I still live in Oxfordshire. I'm 4 hours away from Blackpool. This year I'm finding school quite hard because I have picked my options and I'm doing my SAT's at the moment. I did my maths tests today. I found that one quite easy to do. I did three maths tests. I've still got my certificate from when I won the Good Citizenship Award. Have you still got the trophy?
Well I have to go now. I will write back soon. MISS YOU ALL.
Melissa Knight xx

Dear Mr Horrocks and Mrs Lomas
I am missing you all so much. I now live in Bolton and my SATs are coming up in a week. I am really worried but I know that I will do great because I learnt a lot while I was with you. I hope I can come and see everyone soon but it might be a bit hard as I live over an hour away.

Mrs Lomas, I am missing you the most because you are the best teacher ever and I know that everyone there thinks so too. I know that I will pass my SATs because you gave me confidence when I first did my SATs with you in Year 6.

I was really upset when I heard about Sean because I had known him since he was born and it was hard to take in.

I hope that I can see you soon.
Love to everyone there at Weeton Primary School.
Love from Jade Dianne Lewis

It would be lovely to see you again one day. You'll be able to see Sean's Award. It's really special and it keeps Sean's memory alive here at school. How is Aaron getting on? Keep trying hard - and thank for remembering Weeton.

Hi everyone. I am really enjoying my new school in York (but it's not as good as Weeton). Missing you all. I now go to Brownies and in the Easter holidays I went to Brownie camp. We start back at school on Monday. Inside school is looking very different now. Wait until you see the new toilets - a really bright pink chosen by the girls! And at long last - locks on the doors!

Anyway, do come and visit us when you are down in Weeton. I can't believe your sister is already 9 months old. Best wishes to all your family,

Hi Mr Horrocks,

Don't know if you remember me but I was a pupil at Weeton round about 2001. I was in Year 6 Mrs Lomas' class. Also I won the yearly award. It's great to see that the school is doing well and achieving its targets. I went to 7 different primary schools whilst my Dad was in the army and I consider Weeton to be the best. My education is still progressing and I am going to university in September to study television and radio.

All the best for the future and to Weeton.

REPLY: Thanks for visiting Weeton School this morning - even though we were completely tipped up with all the building work going on!

The plumber actually made an exciting discovery later in the day. Clearing out the loft space above the boys' tiolets, he found a large papier mache penguin! Then another, followed by two young ones - one covered in real feathers! I recognised them: they had been made 25 years ago for the Young Seasiders Competition at the Grundy Art Gallery. The fathers of the pupils had served in the Falklands War in 1982. We've got pictures of the children who made them, together with a Gazette article. And the entry won! They will now become part of our 50th anniversary celebtations.

If you go to our News page and click on 20 March 2007 (A voice from the past...), you can find a pdf link to the photograph of the penguins and one of the girls who helped to make them.

I am sure we'll be seeing you again sometime in the future, to help us develop our creative curriculum.

Hi Mr Horrocks, I know you are a great fan of L S Lowry. Well I am learning about him and his drawings and paintings. He's great and I am doing well at my new school and I love it. My favourite subjects are art and science. Bye Weeton. I will speak to you again soon.

REPLY: Hello Stephanie! I am pleased to hear you are enjoying finding out about my favourite artist, L S Lowry! Now you live in Manchester, you'll have to go to the "Lowry" to see all his pictures. One of the best days of my life was when I met Mr Lowry at his house, The Elms. If you ever see a photo of Mr Lowry's front room, he sat in the chair opposite the fireplace, and I sat in the chair next to him. The paintings of his mother and father (now in the "Lowry") were on the wall, along with lots of other pictures and lots of clocks.

So, keep looking at and enjoying Mr Lowry's pictures. And keep working hard at school! With best wishes, Mr Horrocks.

I can't beleive it's been nearly 10 years since I left Weeton School to go to high school! I will always remember the four c's! Care, consideration, cooperation and courtesy! This message is really testing my spelling ability! Mrs Lomas swore by them! I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for the great years I had at Weeton. x

REPLY: Hello Zoe! Good to hear from you after all these years. Mrs Lomas was touched by your message (she still remembers you) and delighted to know that you still remember the 4 c's! It's amazing how many of her ex-pupils remember them. And yes, loveliest is a word! As you live nearby, you'll have to call in and see us again sometime. Just give us a call to make sure Mrs Lomas is here. If you wait until after the builders have finished in April, you'll be able to come through our new front door and see all our alterations.

With best wishes, Mr Horrocks

Hi Mrs Lomas (Class 6), Mr Horrocks, Mr Goth and all at Weeton. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all. I'm starting to get used to being at my new school. I'm settling in a bit better (still miss Weeton though). My new teacher is Miss Carton. She's nice but my mum says she's not Mrs Lomas. Not sure what she means though. My mum and dad are looking to buy a house back in Kirkham so you might be seeing my little brother Josh again. Josh has broken his collar bone but he's ok. I miss you all. Would you please say hello to Bradley and Joe for me. Thank you. Kyle Foxley

REPLY (at last): Hello, Kyle! It's good to hear from you. We are all pleased to hear that you are settling in your new school. It's sure to take time after all your years at Weeton (although it doesn't seem five minutes since you were in Class 1!). That's good news about possibly buying a house back here. Sorry to hear about Josh's collar bone. Hope it's on the mend now. We would be delighted to have him back at Weeton. Bradley and Joe say hello. Best wishes to all the family from everyone at Weeton.

Hello, this is Demi and Sian. We are in IT and have some spare time on the computer so we decided to send you a comment . It's very cold in N. Ireland. Is it cold over there? Say hello to Mrs Lomas and Mr Goth for us. Thanks for teaching us at primary school. It has helped us in our years since leaving Weeton. Bye from Demi and Sian x

Hello to everyone at Weeton Primary. It was lovely to see you all when I called in - especially Macauley who had made a wonderful Christmas card for me. Thank you, Macauley, it looks lovely on my mantlepiece - it has 'pride of place'. Thank you for showing me all your very good school work. It is great to see how well you are doing. Well done.

Hello everyone at Weeton,
I am missing eveyone there so much. It has been so long since I have seen everyone. Lauren left a message a little while ago and I noticed, so did some of my class mates. I even got a mention from Dean. Looking forward to hearing back from you, this school has been an inspiration to me and has given me many memories.

REPLY: Good to hear from you again Samantha. School is very busy at the moment - Christmas productions, parties etc. I'm sure you'll remember Christmas in Class 6!

Best wishes, Mrs Lomas

Hi everybody
I can't remember the last time I wrote a comment in the guestbook, it must have been ages ago.
I hope everything is okay because it is here. Hi to Mrs Lomas, I can't believe how Harry Potter ended. Bet everyone is feeling weird about being in the year above, because I am. Me in Year 8 just sounds weird.

REPLY: Lovely to hear from you again Daniel - fancy you being in Year 8! I really enjoyed the final Harry Potter. Hope everything is going well for you. Best wishes, Mrs Lomas

Hi Mr Horrocks, it's Jordan Jack. I used to be a pupil at your primary school. I thought I would get back in contact with you all to see how you are all doing.
I'm doing fine. I now live in Scotland with my uncle. I moved out of my parents house who live in Hull to see what things are like outside army life. But now I have tried that I realise that the army is for me and I'm hoping to go away to basic training on 3rd December.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Jordan Jack

REPLY: Hello Jordan! What a lovely surprise! It's really good to hear from you. We've just had our Best Efforts assembly (remember those?) and I read out your message to the children to let them know how former pupils keep in touch when they've moved on. Mrs Lomas was especially pleased to hear from you. Mr Goth became our Deputy Headteacher in September.
We've just had a new regiment this summer at Weeton, so school has been very busy since we came back. Lots of dads are in Afhganistan at the moment.
So it's the army for you then! We hope everthing goes well with the training. Hope Callum is okay. I've just checked the records, and it's 10 years since you both came to Weeton from Germany. How time flies!
Our best wishes to all the family,
Mr Horrocks

Hello to everyone at Weeton Primary School. I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed working at Weeton Primary School and that I miss everyone - especially Macauley. I'm sure he is doing very well - please say hello to him from me. hadn't worked in an Army base school before but was so impressed by how 'nurturing' and caring all the staff were with the children - from the Headteacher to the school secretary. I certainly felt that I was part of a 'successful happy family' whilst working there. Weeton Primary School - ''you rock''. I found myself being motivated by the expertise, commitment and 'passion' of the staff that I was fortunate enough to work whilst in Mrs Lomas's class - let alone the children. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to work with such dedicated people and wonderful children.
Regards to everyone, Sally-Ann Higham, Support Assistant

REPLY: Many thanks for your kind words. As you know, you were with us at one our busiest times, with so many new children in our school. I know Macauley really enjoyed with you. Good luck with your other work.
See you soon, Mr Horrocks

REPLY from Macauley: Hello Mrs Higham! How are you getting on? I am getting on very well. I like doing my maths. We went to see The Twits at the theatre in Lancaster this week. I like the bit with all the worms! Goodbye, Mrs Higham from Macauley

Hiya, it's Daryl. Hope everyone in Year 5 and 6 is okay and the rest of the school. It took me ages to work out the Weeton website, that's why it's been ages since I've sent an email. Bye
PS Hello Amber

REPLY: Hello Daryl! Glad you found us at last! Mrs Lomas has a new Class 6 - some familiar faces, some new ones. You've found our website just as we've changed our server system, which means some things look a little strange at the moment. Also, I have to understand how it all works (having got used to the old system!).
Hope everything is going well for you.
