Back to school!

Six years after leaving Weeton for high school, former pupil Daniel Williams took a trip down memory lane this month.  Although he spent just a year at Weeton, Daniel has many memories of being in Class 6.

And as Mrs Lomas was his teacher, it is no wonder!

A look through the Best Efforts Book for 2005-2006 reminded Daniel of the class trip to Worthington Lakes and the Blackpool themed Leavers' Assembly.  Daniel has kept in touch via our Guestbook since he moved on, so it was good to welcome him back to Weeton School

after all these years.

What are your memories of Weeton School? Why not leave a message in our Guestbook.

based on David Hockney's paintings

Class 2 left a message about their picture

on the official David Hockney website.

They received a speedy reply, thanking them

and saying that "their interest in the artist and his

work is much appreciated".

Opera comes to Weeton!

Katherine and Ben from Opera North

spent the day with us on 14 March 2012.

Their excellent workshop prepared us for our visit to see a performance of Opera North's Cautionary Tales!

at The Dukes, Lancaster on 16 March.

We hope you enjoy visiting our school website. It should give you some idea of what life is like at Weeton School.  Maybe you saw us on BBC's

The One Show last August!  We have done lots of

TV and radio in the last couple of years.

You can find out what's been happening at Weeton School. Read out latest Newsletters. Meet the staff or visit the Office if you need information about school uniform, term times, packed lunches etc. Read our second outstanding Ofsted inspection report from January 2012.

We always look forward to hearing from visitors to our website and from members of our school family who have moved on.

It's great to keep in touch and we like to hear your news.  We've had over 800 messages since we launched our website in March 2006 - from as far away as Germany, Canada, Fiji, New York, Cyprus and Saudi Arabia, and many from nearer home.    There's even a mesage from HRH The Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward (Feb 2007).  Just go along to our Guestbook to read the latest messages.

After 23 years at Weeton School, this is my final term as Headteacher.  As the weeks fly by, we still have plenty of exciting events planned before Friday 20th July...

Best wishes

Mr C J Horrocks
